It's almost impossible for me to do many creative things with two kids running around my house.  I try to write as often as I can but it's hard to focus when the kids cry or throw toys at your head.  By the time they go to bed I'm tired too, and my motivation level is dragging on the ground.  However, my family comes first, so I will plan on doing a crap load of artistic projects when they get older. 

Unless I get creative constipation...

Last night Ethan, my brilliant son, discovered the Cayenne pepper in the spice rack.  Of course he decided to anoint himself with it.  I didn't think I've ever heard a more bloodcurdling noise come from man or beast in my life.  Then I threw him (not literally) into the shower and I was proven wrong. (He HATES showers.)  I had to wrestle with him and hold him down just to get his eyes washed out. 
After he was decontaminated it was back to the kitchen.

"No, no; Owie eyes." I said, pointing to the spice rack.
"Owie eyes?" Ethan whispered.
"Owie eyes." I confirmed. "No, no; owie eyes, SHOWER!"
"No, no. Shower, no no!"  
He is more scared of getting another shower than of getting pepper in his eyes again.
But hey, whatever works.

One more hard life lesson learned...
